Taleo

Post by Sergei82 » Fri, 30 Nov 2012 12:24 am

Decided to send my CV here and there. They're not laying us off yet, but it is flying in the atmosphere - I don't want to risk too much.
Recalled that there is something exists in this world that is loveable, beautiful, very user-friendly, convenient and extremely useful... in other words, Taleo.

Enybody ever refused to apply for a job because the company uses Taleo? Or I am the only one like that?

I've actively avoided job postings that use Taleo. I think that is the only site less stable than the new SingaporeAir the month after it debuted.

To answer the first question, yes, and a lot as of late.

To respond to the response, I haven't found it to be unstable. What I have found is that some companies make you go through a very tedious process to get through it, while with others it's pretty quick.

To respond to the response to the response, I never heard back from anything I used Taleo for, for those listed and them some.

For the the response to the response to the response, which company would that be? (I've probably used their Taleo site as well...)

Taleo sucks donkey dick. Any company that uses it is doomed to failure just like those using SAP. My last employer used it and internally we hated it as hiring managers.
Now I'm called PNGMK

I know. It took me almost three hours to fill out the "application" for my job when I worked at one of those. (This was after I had a verbal offer, but had to fill it out for HR) The tool was universally despised in the company.

This is why I hate using it - on one hand it allows you to upload a resume and cover letter, then you have to duplicate the info by adding each job, education, etc. that is on your resume.

I got tired of that right quick - I would only enter my most recent job and delete subsequent ones auto-loaded, or not add any more if they didn't get autoloaded.

Probably why I'm not hearing back from those companies.....

Just shoot me.

Is there any template that you can prepare your resume for Taleo according to it, Taleo will automatically fill each field properly? That way it would be simple - just do it once, upload to Taleo everywhere, click, click, done!
