ITT: Concerts you've been to past/present + upcoming gigs

Post by rajagainstthemachine » Thu, 29 Nov 2012 3:35 pm

I hope a fair amount of people here would have gone to a concert or a festival to see a favourite band at some point in their life.
what are some of the bands you've seen?
what were your most memorable shows?
if you got pics you can post them here too.

I've watched the following bands myself

Mr. Big
Scorpions - caught the drum stick
Aerosmith
Jethro Tull
Megadeth
Iron Maiden
Metallica
Judas priest
Arch Enemy
Opeth

missed watching the following bands in Singapore this year

1. Megadeth
2. Judas Priest in fort canning park

For those who are interested there is a music festival happening on the Jan 26th

The details about the festival are here : http://www.lanewayfestival.com.au/

and the venue is fort canning park , as usual the tickets are frightfully expensive with the cheapest ticket at around 146SGD :???:

The bands that are playing are as follows:

Alt-j
Bat For Lashes
Cloud Nothings
Divine Fits
Gotye
Japandroids
Kimbra
Kings of Convenience
Nicolas Jaar
Of Monsters And Men
Polica
Real Estate
Tame Impala
Yeasayer

Its mostly a bunch of Indie and Alt rock bands, Bat for lashes is pretty decent but I haven't heard the others.

Thanks for sharing this.

Was really thrilled to hear about Metallica but found ticket prices are steep at 150+ :(

Perhaps that is the price you pay for true class. Need to check if budget permits. cheers

I was surprised that the more expensive Metallica tix were for General Admisssion....with the exception of outdoor concerts and limited mosh pit areas, I didn't think this was done any more....I'll be there in the heart of it all (with my earplugs, praying that all 5'2" of me doesn't get trampled)!

Oh, and don't forget about Justin Bieber for the F1 Finale! Beebah Feevah!!!
