Chances for PR

Post by umi63 » Tue, 27 Nov 2012 8:01 pm

Need all the shifus opinion regarding my spouse chances of getting PR.

I'm Singapore citizen and worked in local Singapore bank for 2 yrs between 2007 to 2008. of course income tax and cpf contribution as per normal.

from 2008 to 2012 I went to Malaysia to work so no income tax or cpf contribution as they were contributed in Malaysia and it is in Malaysia I married my Malaysian wife. She has been working in Malaysia since graduated from university so never worked in Singapore before.
Is there any chance she can get PR because she is my spouse?

If not, what options or ways that she can eventually get her PR?

Very tough unless you move back to singapore and find a job here and then apply.

In summary:

1. Can apply. Don't know if can get.
2. Still staying in Malaysia or going to move back to Singapore with her?
3. If going to remain in Malaysia anyway, don't bother applying for PR.
4. Married for how many years? If 3 years and above, she can get LTVP+. If less, only LTVP (she cannot work in Singapore with that). Do that while waiting for PR.
5. Get a son, her chance will be higher.

Actually your question is so so common here. So you can refer to the threads below for the questions on how to apply, what are the chances, etc etc etc...
