Any SICC members out here?

Post by incognito » Sun, 25 Nov 2012 7:29 am

Hi, I need help regarding the rules for SICC. Could someone tell me what rule 37 is about? Specifically section (iv)...

I would really appreciate your help! Thanks.

is it a new stipulation that members have to know the rules...?!

i think "enemy alien" (of the state) means just that. eg, a non-singaporean red islamic terrorist.

What's SICC?

Singapore International Chamber of Commerce?
Singapore Islamic Courts Council?
Singapore Island Country Club?

to taxico/zzm9980: i did mean SICC as Singapore Island Country Club.. sorry for not being clearer!
nah i don't think so? i was actually just wondering what the rule is... but if it's confidential information that strictly can't be shared, then it's okay...

The 37th rule of SICC? Don't talk about SICC!!

Just kidding:

Sounds like what was said above. If you become an enemy of the state, you may lose your membership.

Oh another note to consider, NS deferment (or is it deserter?) is also considered as violation to Rule 37.

if you're singaporean then you probably have nothing to worry about... unless you're comrades of Tan Lark Sye.

just to clarify, in case you didn't understand my earlier cryptic reply; "enemy alien" or "alien enemy" is an actual legal term which probably will not have any meaning during your life time as it's most commonly used during/just before war and usually publicly announced.

example: a number of japanese, germans and italians in america were interned during WW2 as they were considered enemy aliens.

if you mean desertion under 37(vii) then i doubt it as it's arguable one has left the country to avoid NS (although NS may seem criminal to some).

if you mean desertion under 37(vi) then i think it's probably possible, knowing how the committees function.

a deserter probably wouldn't care nor want to pay his fees :b
