should I apply for PR? chances of approval?

Post by seantin » Wed, 21 Nov 2012 5:06 pm

Hi

I am a malaysian chinese 36yrs old. Was a Singapore PR (under the PTS scheme)previously from 2006-2011. I tried to renew my entry/reentry permit in 2011 upon expire but not successful(reason because was working overseas(HK) in 2010/2011). So I gave up my PR but was told that I could reapply again once you relocate back to SG to work/live. So(after 1 year) I have relocate back to sg on nov 15 2012 and starting work in dec 2012 with a P1 pass. MOM did their audit on my EP submission( tax, cpf, work experience, qualification, etc info as per my EP application) before approving my EP (concluded that all info on my EP is genuine). Hence I am thinking of applying PR in jan 2013. What are my chances of getting my PR approved if I were to apply? anyone with similar situation? please share

I don't have any advice - I just find it interesting that your REP renewal was knocked back because of working overseas. I sometimes wonder if there is some logic behind this that we've missed because I have previously renewed my REP while working overseas - admittedly a long while back.

I left singapore to work for a hong kong listed company in 2010. Tried to renew my entry permit online after 1 month expire.

After? Ok - maybe that's the problem. You're meant to begin renewal before they expire I believe.
