It will be easier if you had a UK or recognised qualification.Shwesgm wrote:HELLO everybody.need some urgent advice and guidance.I just moved to Singapore a month ago . My husband is a PR here. Turn around time can be about 5 months.
Don't sweat.
PR won't make any difference for SMC.
Heck, even holding citizenship won't matter
As advised in another thread going for allied health services is better.
By the way you do know the work load of clinical associate is more or less, more than house officers ?
You are not alone in that boat of just want to work. And not many succeeded. Including Citizens.Shwesgm wrote: Thankyou so much for the prompt reply. I don't mind the work load. I just need a job. so all I can do now is wait for them to reply meanwhile do mrcog..
Also 1 more query. What about applying for an observership?? Will that help??
Of late Singapore is trying to bring back citizens who studied overseas.Shwesgm wrote:Thanks a lot ...
But I can't work in private hospitals without a recognised mbbs degree right.. my only options are sgh and kkh right??ecureilx wrote:Of late Singapore is trying to bring back citizens who studied overseas.Shwesgm wrote:Thanks a lot ...
In that grand scheme of things, unrecognized degrees became less interesting for SMC.
But don't take it as discouraging.
Keep trying.
Alternate is to try to join private hospitals to treat foreign patients.
Maybe they forgot to remove the ad happens sometimes...Shwesgm wrote:There is just one vacancy in sgh for clinical associate job and that's been open since february. Will I be informed if they are not shortlisting me??
I can't confirm, but you should reach out to agencies placing in private hospitals on how that works.Shwesgm wrote: But I can't work in private hospitals without a recognised mbbs degree right.. my only options are sgh and kkh right??
