Avarege salary for Software Engineer

Hi guys,
I'll have to make an interview for a senior software engineer position based in Singapore where i'll have to relocate.
I'm an Computer science engineer with six year of experience.
Before attending this interview i want know the average salary for a professional figure like mine in Singapore.

95% of salaries fall into (2K, 20K)/month interval. But most likely they will just ask you to show pay slips from your previous job and will propose you the salary (same or a bit higher). That is how they do stuff in Singapore - they will try to gain as much advantage in salary negotiations as possible right away.

They pay you based on what you make in your home country rather than what you're really worth.

That said, software engineers come in all shapes and flavors and as Sergei said, also fall into a very, very wide spectrum of salaries. Are you in embedded systems? Application development? Telecommunications? Financial services? Could be anything, really.

Google is your friend. Search for online services that compile salaries of people from different fields, in different positions. Kelly services, for example.

Depends on your industry and whether your skills are in demand as the others say. However, to give you an idea Ive hired a dozen or so engineers with roughly your experience level and $5k or so seems to be the median.
