Well, ICA requires that you update your application if your situation changes in any way or you change addresses, etc. If found out that you didn't, it would probably been seen as attempting to defraud the Singapore Government. But by the same token, doing so, may well nix your approval as well. Bit of like voluntarily walking in front of a bus, if you ask me. I don't know. If you can show that the MBA is directly related to your current profession, I reckon that they would probably see it as a bonus on your side, but I cannot say that with any certainty.

If you have completed your Masters in Engineering, while the application was in progress, that would add value.apalani wrote:Hi There,
Its already been 6 months+, am waiting for the outcome of PR status for my family menbers ( Wife & Son).
Now, i got an offer letter from NTU to peruse my Master in Engineering, i have already registered. So, would it be helpful if i update the same to ICA in PR outcome?
Anybody can advise? highly appreciated if you share your concern experiance
I think just starting the course, would not add so much value.
Just my 2 cents.

My response is based on the assumption you are a PR too (sorry did not read whole thread).
Well if you as primary applicant is going out of a job to pursue full time education I have a feeling it would be seen as a negative.
But this is just my thoughts as I step into an officers shoe...
Have you thought about how you will renew your REP, 2 years education means unless you land a job straight out of college (like gambling?) you might be putting your REP at risk.
1) I am going to do Masters by Part Time only(Though my present employer encourage to enhance qualification) , i still continue my job as it is..So, the question is How does it impact to the applicant by improving sponsor's qualification? Is their any relation?
2) I am a SPR ( almost 10 years), recently we have moved to another house, so i already changed address in Police station, hence the change of address has been updated to a list of organizations ( including ICA), But dependent IC does not have address..in this case how should i update the change of address for applicant( who are dependent) to ICA? Can any one advise?

The reason the Dependent Pass doesn't have an address is that is will always be the same as the EP holder as it's tied to the EP holder's Pass. Therefore it automatically updated.apalani wrote:1) I am going to do Masters by Part Time only(Though my present employer encourage to enhance qualification) , i still continue my job as it is..So, the question is How does it impact to the applicant by improving sponsor's qualification? If you are going to school part time while working, then there will be nil effect on a sponsorship application as it has nil effect on your PR.

Thanks to all for your valuable suggestions,
Its really frustrating, am waiting 7+ months, still pending !! ( this is the 2nd time). I waited 14 months & got rejected in 2011.
What would be the Avg waiting time? its really a painful event such a long waiting time, checking every single day.....always Pending...
Any suggestion from anybody ! appreciated in advance

There is no discernible average waiting time. Each application is different and waiting time depends on numerous factors that we are clueless about.
