Anyone interested in trying out Beach Volleyball?

Postby Jessimo » Wed, 14 Nov 2012 2:59 pm

I'm super keen to try as many new things as possible now I've made this massive life (and country) shift, and thought: what's the thing least likely associated with England (BEACHES!) and what's the thing least likely associated with me (EXTREME SPORT!).

So that's my logic. Anyone share a similar brain pattern?

There are regular games down at Tanjong every Saturday afternoon. However, it's mostly for intermediate/advanced players so I'd like to maybe gather a couple of interested gals/guys to play a few friendly matches (i.e. learn from scratch) before maybe braving it to a proper game.

Anyone even remotely interested?

Well, I do feel that Bariq's team isn't just for intermediate/advanced player. As long as you know how to receive and pass the ball, you can still have fun with them :)

I've tried it, though only once. And I'm a newbie. So not really that much playing in "real" volleyball teams.

I kept going to other people's area just because I was going after the ball all the time...unconsciously though...

Haha, that is my problem. I have no idea what the rules are and would spend the entire time getting in everyone's way. Hence wanting to have a little 'practice fun' with others first! Or even going down to watch!

Just another excuse for meeting people, right?

:)
