Sirius XM Holiday Programming has begun!

Post by taxico » Tue, 13 Nov 2012 8:02 pm

for americans/canadians in singapore that subscribe/have acess to sirius xm internet radio...

just realized the holiday programming started today at 6AM eastern (7PM Singapore) while my wife was channel surfing a little while ago:

besides the usual channels, i see an extra channel called "Holiday Radio" this year (762) but i'm not sure when it starts/ends or what the programming is like.

not quite a white christmas, as the case may be... but it's as close as it gets when living here and especially so when listened to with friends/loved ones residing here.

makes good dinner party music, is what i mean. : )

Is this available in Singapore? I'd be interested in the Sirius broadcasting.

yes, my wife and i listen to it in singapore - we use an old iphone as our dedicated player and it works great. it has a $12/month data-only plan (30GB - impossible to exceed for this purpose).

i'm on a lifetime subscription plan but i still have to pay $3 a month for the internet radio service.

they have an internet-only subscription but at higher rates. free 30 day trial but you'll need an american credit card to get started.

i'd be happy to let you try mine out - just PM me.

edit: you don't need an iphone!

But can you subscribe to SirusXM in Singapore without a US billing address and/or credit card?

Even better, can you do an online only subscription?

they have online only subscriptions but it's not $3. i think $7-$8.

you'll need a US or canadian credit card to subscribe, so...

but people outside of north america probably won't know about sirius/xm.

some radio channels' have streams that can be accessed from singapore.

WLIT (lite fm chicago) has started their christmas programming:
