I always thought trolls were kiddies with OCPD (Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder), but this one is just freakin lame, a real disappointment.

Appeal to authority is just one of the many logical fallacies. Your example would fall under Ad Hominem.

I guess the irony was that since a logical discussion was out of the question, we were to choose a logical fallacy to replace it.
