Hi all,
haven't seen this posted so I thought I share this information from the MOM website regarding new rules for the PEP:
http://www.mom.gov.sg/MOMDoc/FAQs_on_Changes_to_PEP.pdf
Basically, the minimum annual salary is being quadrupled (!!!) from 34k to 144k - or 12k per month. If you apply from overseas you have to earn at least 18k per month.
Also, the validity won't be 5 years anymore but only 3 years.
All this takes effect from Dec 1st, 2012. For existing PEP holders there's a window period of 2 years until end of 2014 to meet the new criteria. Otherwise you will have to downgrade to a regular EP.
