update:

hello all. i still actively read this forum and have a couple of questions for you. i recently moved up to a P2 employment pass range (with a payrise) and updated MOM with my new salary and EP.

i was just wondering, if i move jobs between now and christmas, what affect does this have on the PR application? it's been 4 months but is still shown as pending. do i need to apply all over again?

It will help. Advice ICA in writing of the change.

Did you update ICA or MOM? Good to update ICA also with sufficient documentary proof.

My personal feeling is it does not look good when you switch jobs when your PR application is under process.

I put Eurasian!
You should have put Chinese or Malaysia as race since (depending) since your great grand parents are from Malaysia (Penang) and ancestors from China.

That would make you Malaysian Chinese (statistically) which would substantially increase your chances of PR.

Thanks for your reply. Sorry, I meant I updated ICA. Sent them a letter from my employer confirming new salary and also my new EP once I had this in my hands. MOM knew obviously because they issued my new EP in accordance with my new salary.

I agree. I was just wondering about the formalities. Do I have to start all over again or simply 'update' them with my new position? Struggled to find any concrete answers and don't want to ask them directly incase nothing happens in my current role and I decide to stay on.

Thanks for your answer. Is that all I have to do? I've heard of people saying they needed to start all over again, but no one I directly know that I can ask.

You can update them with a documentary proof of the change in salary and designation.Even if you have new payslips submit them.

You don't need to submit all the documents again.

I would also like to advise on applying for a PR. I personally reckon my chances are quite slim;

Nationality: EU
Age: 26
Highest Education: Master's degree
Marital Status: Married to PR
Job Title: -
Working exp : none in Singapore

I am basically a fresh grad, but me and my wife are trying to build a life together which is kind of difficult with two different nationalities.

So if I were to apply, do I stand any chance at all? I was actually first thinking of trying to get an LTVP. Is that more advisable?

Thanks

I just suddenly thought… I submitted my PR application in May with the support of my company and also had a testimonial from my boss. He's since moved on from the company… will this affect my application at all?
