I can't find the link, but, while you have a PR application under review, change of employer sort of voids the application .. did you know that part ?

Well, your PR is based on your employer endorsing your employment right ?

No, not quite. You don't need the sponsor's Annex A anymore if you cannot get one. All you need to do is submit current pay vouchers, CPF statements to prove employment still exists. Too many employers were holding employees hostage with employer sponsorship thing so now, while desirable, it's not necessary as the applicant can do an end run around the employer now.

But it is necessary to inform the ICA about changes to ANY particulars on the PR application.

Many years ago I did have a job offer from a company whose boss insisted that I must apply PR if selected .. and the HR dropped the ball saying that supporting the PR application came with a 5 year bond :) I didn't take up the offer though .. and figured out that Annex A is not compulsory ..

I was still under the impression that change of employer is not allowed while the PR is under processing ..

Interesting changes from ICA !!!

I didn't say there wouldn't be any impact. That remains to be seen. But as long as one is increasing either money or vertical climb, I don't see that as a problem.

My suggestion - phone the ICA and ask them what they suggest in your case; in my experience they are very helpful.

OK, fair enough. That's good info for others who may be in a similar situation in the future.
