Affordability questions

Post by wuxijb » Mon, 22 Oct 2012 6:53 pm

Hello,
Myself is PR and wife is under EP. We have 1 baby at the moment. Our combined salary is almost 9k/month. Wife is in process to apply PR with baby.

With that amount can we live comfortably and afford a 4 rooms HDB flat and send our baby to child care?

This kind of question is quite common on the forum, so you'll find a lot of relevant information if you use the search function (above and to the right of here, underneath the Profile button). Then if you have any specific questions please post them here and I'm sure the regulars will do their best to help.
Be careful what you wish for

You've been here long enough to 'earn' PR, and you're not aware of Singapore cost of living? Something is fishy.

For those who are using the search and finding this thread, yes, that amount should be enough to purchase a resell 4-room flat in many parts of the island and send your baby for child care.
