Hmm to refer to your questions

1. EPEC is no longer issued as of now.

2. You could come here on SVP and look for jobs yourself. That's what Jaycee and OSOD meant. The old school. I'm actually surprised you asked.

3. Or follow zzm's advice on PEP, you may wanna look it up and see if you're eligible for it. That allows you to gain long-term residency, look for jobs, and be out of jobs for 6 months, and even work more than a job by MOM's approval.

4. EP can only be applied by sponsoring companies. You look for them, attend interviews, they like you, they apply for you, application gets approved (if it GETS approved, that is), IPA is issued, you settle the final paperwork like medical check-up, thumb print and photo submission and ta-da, you start work on your new shining EP card.

Caveat for #2 and #4: avoid doing visa runs to buy time to look for jobs. ICA will end up barring your entry once they pick it up.

That's all. It is a good idea if you run the search function in this forum to find current threads of job conquests by others in your shoes.

:D

Not stop, but reduce the quota.

Frankly, if he cannot negotiate the MOM website, he really doesn't have the necessary mental capacity to work here anyway. Especially considering he's had three years to try to figure it out. It easy enough for a secondary school finisher to do. Thought I do wonder why certain masters holders cannot.

Thank you very much for the reply. By the way what is SVP (Social Visit pass)?

(I'm not active these 3 years. I didn't expect UK's decision to remove TIER1 completely. This is unfortunate. I'm sure lots of expacts around the world are not happy with this. This decision from UK forced to me think on Singapore) :)

The UK is tightening up for the same reason. The "quality" of immigrants are starting to lower the gene pool instead of upgrading it. Immigration around the world is starting to tighten up. It's probably a good thing in the long run.

Bloody good thing as far as the UK is concerned if this topic is representative of what is being barred.

SVP = Social Visit Pass

The bog standard visa for everyone for short-term (30 - 90 days depending on your nationality). You must check with ICA website if your nationality required separate visa application prior to your flight here (or visa on arrival).

That, you have to check yourself.

Singapore is not grand pa's a** property!!! I'm not coming to your house and seeking permission to enter &rest in your house. I'm sure, you also went like me long back.

I'm not sure why Education & experience didn't teach you how to respect other people.

I own property here and I'm a PR and I have SC dependents.. This country is far more my property than yours and I don't want you here. You'll be a non contributor to this country. If you haven't noticed I'm not a fan of stupid people coming to Singapore and you've proved you're one.

Seriously I'm not joking and neither is the current govt a fan either of more low level individuals coming to Singapore. The current topic is becoming focused around productivity of the current FT crop and I suspect it will become a question of ROI as to allowing people like the OP in. What do they bring? Money - no; IQ - no; business - no? Problems for the ruling party in elections in 2016? - YES! If you can't see this coming and prepare for it - then we (expats) all lose out. Smarter expats helping keep out dumber wannabe expats to save OUR skins is pretty normal tribal reaction. If this gets me banned - so be it. I'm tired of people saying; 'Oh come on in and join this party' - without scrutinizing who they encourage to come in and having as a result the SC population turn against us and throw us all out. We ALL have some self interest in who Singapore allows in - not just the SC's.

My dear friend - Don't divert the topic to politics or region wise. I think your mind is not set to right direction to contribute further in this forum. Please don't raise your voice further. When you say you are tired with replies - THAT'S THE POINT YOU NEED TO RETIRE. Chill down and enjoy with your family. I still love you for helping other friends!

Ok buddy. Prove you're worthy of Singapore accepting you. Find a job here. I have NOT mentioned politics or regions or nationalities outside the context of the topic and those points ARE highly relevant in the current climate WRT your desire to work in Singapore.
