I agree, I'm not a fan of most of their watches, but this one I actually liked, and it was a good bit cheaper than the next cheapest watch I liked (One of the Seamaster 300Ms)

i usually... okay, i only buy pre-owned. i have a few NY/NJ-based dealers i use regularly since i studied there when i was younger.

they find you what you want, hopefully within your budget and offer a return policy if you're unhappy. you pony up for return shipping.

i bought an older used but serviced seamaster (with warranty card, COSC certificate and extract of archives) for a friend recently for US$1.1k including shipping and insurance.

a 15 year old watch and running +1s after a week! awesome.

if you like new, near new, or like new watches, you can try davidsw on rolexforums dot com - i think he's a grey dealer (great inventory and prices and nice service) from... somewhere in central florida.

i've seen some watches nicely priced on amazon but i never bit. watchrecon is another interesting resource if you know which (reputable) seller to buy from.
