Apparently a few others also missed that point and I included a disclaimer in my earlier message that all this assuming we take the story at the face value. I am more than happy if I was mistaken. Well grown social paranoia is worse than the Nazism. And yes, nothing wrong to tell not to film your children. As a matter of fact and depending on the circumstances I consider it rude (the filming without permission) but again, assuming there was nothing extra going on in the scene this women clearly overreacted and the filming person was not doing anything illegal. I have a mega cute kid and it happens pretty frequently that people take his photo even in Singapore but hard to imagine I could be reacting this way and never thought anybody doing this was a pervert. Frankly, hard to believe someone could assume a pedophile would act like the person in the movie.

What's with everyone's obsession with this child exploitation angle? Did we watch different videos?
If you really think that is the concern, do you think the lady would have carried her kid in to grab the phone? There was still a group of adults outside with one of the other kids. Simplest and most likely explanation is the two groups had words over something likely stupid, and the guy who filmed was being passive aggressive and probably thought he could put it on STOMP.

I don't know what it was but I bet nothing to do with any pervert. Stomp story sounds much more convincing.

I won't be surprised if this surfaces in StomP soon or already surfaced.

Today's ST had an article about a teacher sentenced to 9 months in Changi for filing a large number of students... mainly their thighs. Using a camera, in public, indiscriminately in Singapore is plain stupid.

Yeah, I'll bet filing their thighs hurts if you do it hard enough.

That doesn't follow. A teacher filming his students is far from indiscriminate.
