I've recently got my open water (SSI), so would be keen to go on any dives after you have completed your course

SSI, that's 'very French' isn't it?

(no slur or judgement at all, just trying to remember)

raseenaAt the southern end of town (by 'Marine Parks' and headland path) is a completely netted off bay. It is small but absolutely perfect for training. It would not surprise me if it is used as a year around fall-back for the OW dives (I did some assists for OW students there and it was perfect...)

It varies depending on the monsoon. As a rule a place might say (on their www) 'closed Nov-Jan'. But then if monsoon has not arrived stay open for all of Nov. Other places do not shut at all.

Secondly for the Open Water qualifying dives it really doesn't matter what the weather is like, they'll just overweight you anyway and stick you anywhere that has 4-5m depth and a flattish bottom. In my experience most OW students are so blown away to see any sea-life that poor visibility shouldn't distract them unduly.
