S&S vs CS

Post by x9200 » Sat, 06 Oct 2012 9:59 am

We normally shop in CS but after we moved to our current location we started using Shop'n'Save as their store is only 5 min away from our place. Now shopping there pretty regularly I concluded that CS not only offers much better choice and quality (this is clearly no brainer) but it is often comparable in price if not cheaper than S&S. The only exceptions I managed to spot are fruits and veggies and things like ham. Beverages, both alcoholic and soft are more expensive or comparable, canned food - the same. Is it a common misconception that this is more budget friendly chain or I am feeding myself with wrong products?

My wife pretty much splits shopping between CS, S&S, and a Fairprice Finest. Our bills tend to be lower overall at Fairprice Finest. Cost Storage has a few exceptions, one being amazing (for Singapore) sales on diapers. Normal price $25.something, on sale about once a month @ 2 for$36.

If the shops actually change up their prices depending on the area, then this is @ Parkway
