Hello; New to the forum

Post by Bazinga » Thu, 27 Sep 2012 6:15 pm

Gruezi,

Am new to the forum here.
Am an Indian guy working in Zurich as a Business Analyst, and I hope to move to Singapore.
I love to travel, read and take pictures.

Hope to know you all on the forum, for now I'd search the threads rather than asking obvious newbie questions.

:D

So why does your IP address resolve to Copenhagen, Denmark?

Wow that's a nice welcome.

Its due to the corporate VPN, which is based out of Denmark.

Well, we've been a getting a lot of guys pretending to be western to be in singapore with their IPs from Airtel India. Same MO; "hi, new; looking forward to participate in discussions."

Only difference is, you outright said you're Indian. And instead of your IP coming from India, from Denmark.

So... Welcome. Other than a lot of winter up your way, a lot of people here would like to trade places with you.

Singapore is a very expensive place to live, and becoming more so all the time. At the same time, there is intense pressure on salaries due to the vast number of people willing to work for nothing, just to get into Singapore.

You should come visit... for a couple of weeks, at least... to understand what you would be getting into. It's a great place... almost 8 years myself... and becoming less attractive by the day... traffic, costs, people.

Thank you for the beginner tips

@nakatago I understand your perspective. I guess the IP will fix itself once I login from my home network.

@Strong Eagle I am sure a lot of people would love to be here, but my time will run out here soon (thanks to non EU work permit rules). Switzerland is very expensive as well.
I have visited Singapore before, for a week, i did like it. Of course, there is a difference in being a visitor and actually living somewhere. Hope to understand a lot more in the next few days. :)

LOL. Spock is a challenge in itself (for me anyway) but how do you do 'lizzard'?
