No problem - I'm sure we'll read about our young friend in the press soon enough when he's sued for MF.

SECTION 6 MALICIOUS FALSEHOOD

The Cause of Action

21.6.1 A person is liable for malicious falsehood if he or she maliciously makes false representations in respect of another with a view to injure that person’s goodwill or economic reputation.

21.6.2 The tort of malicious falsehood may, in some respects, overlap with the tort of defamation (see Section 7 below). However, these two torts are clearly distinct. In particular, the tort of malicious falsehood is founded on (a) false representations, (b) malicious motives, and (c) the complainant’s incurrence of special damage, but none of these is a necessary element of the tort of defamation.
Malicious Falsehood? Seriously guy, you haven't even watched the video. Looks like you are in the wrong thread.

If you guys don't bother, why reply? you are very funny.
Because in principle we want to help but as with everything it has its limits and its rights. If you are turning like this the limits are already behind and the principle is you should clarify doubts. I earlier suggested to you to verify it with your lawyers. Sorry, I am not going to pay mine to do this for you. Ultimately and again, whether you like it or not it is your and not our problem.
Did I say it's your problem to begin with? If you do not want to help, you are more than welcome to leave this thread. Also judging from your statements, I don't want your help anyways. I don't know what's your problem with all these sarcastic remarks. Please just leave the issue to the others, goodbye.

You know what? I don't have to. And that's the point, you're defaming your LL in public - and no one has to even see it to understand that he has been defamed. You've been given good free advice, you've got a judgement in your favour - now grow up - stop putting stuff on the internet that you will get you sued and go and get your money. You think I'm joking? You live in defamation city.

LMAO, he did not show up to court when I sued him, so why should I show up when he sues me?

Because;

1. He has deeper pockets (he's not a broke ass renter) and 2. You have no real way of proving the video was made for anything except defaming him which is I suspect, why you made it. Before you go play outside, learn the rules of the playground. You don't take on a bigger man without understanding how to fight dirty. Perhaps he'll never hear about it or notice it or you'll have the brains to take the video down first.

I can just about guarantee you that landlordfromhell will be on the short end of a defamation lawsuit.

Simply put, the law in Singapore assumes that any claim of defamation is true until the defendant proves that it is not true.

So... you call your landlord a scheming, thieving scumbag and he files a lawsuit. Now, please prove that he is a scheming, thieving scumbag... all three assertions, BTW.

Now, you've posted semi-nude video of your LL along with derogatory comments. You've called him a "perverted and dishonest man". Explain how you are going to prove that you have not defamed him? How are you going to prove up that he is perverted? Running around in your room in his underwear probably won't be enough. Bzzzzt!!! You lose.

I can tell you lack basic English knowledge. If you read enough, you'll know all defamation bullshit is false and has been proven in court. LL failed to show up, he's on the losing end.

Now go quietly back to your six battery road trailer troll.

This thread is a good example why posts with the clear purpose of personal vendetta are typically deleted right after they appear. Especially if they come from a person who got registered only for that reason.
Looks like we missed this one.

Better lock this thread, I guess. I think we have enough drama up there already and we don't want to add anymore.
