My 3 yo daughter is desperate for a cat. Does anyone have any leads on tailed kittens going? I don't need a pure-bred (although I love abyssinians - but they are not suitable for apartment living).

Still hanging around... have to close all the windows at night or I have an interloper in the kitchen.

They are detachable, it's cheaper without, hence, all the cats sans-tail in Singapore.

Best to get a dog, they are more perfect than cats in Singapore, cats seem to be scraggy tailless things and dogs are fluffy little fashion models.
Also, dogs are better than cats!

That's true as well!

Greg, how come you don't like cats?
I don't not like cats.
I-l just-- I just prefer dogs.
I mean, I'm just more of a dog kind of, you know--
Come home, wagging their little tails, happy to see you kind of--
You need that assurance? You prefer an emotionally shallow animal?
I--
You see, Greg, when you yell at a dog,
his tail will go between his legs and cover his genitals, his ears will go down.
A dog is very easy to break, but cats make you work for their affection.
- They don't sell out the way dogs do. - Huh.
From Meet The Parents movie.
