Part Time Childcare - Western

Post by tpchappers » Tue, 18 Sep 2012 10:17 am

Anyone know if it is possible to hire part time childcare - ideally a dependant with nanny / childcare experience willing to work flexibly.

I really want someone who will come and play with my kids, read with them, do arts and crafts, take them swimming etc as few afternoons a week.

It is possible, but make sure you only engage a Singapore citizen or PR (otherwise it's illegal). They have their price, though, so you may want a full-time maid instead to save costs.

If the Singaporean is from the childcare industry or has been a nanny ,she will know how to keep the kids occupied. But a Maid may not be able to see things in the same way and conduct activites with a child.
