Why do people do that!? The whole point of asking and answering questions is for others to also gain benefit!

In relation to this, if I remember correctly, he was being offered $15K a month for a Architect role in Datawarehousing. Which we stated was a typical salary and probably at the top end for Tech roles.

Singapore is not much closer to India than UK to be honest, I suppose where in India you live.

Even still if the money is that much better in UK, then you may be better off, cost of living is cheaper and flights aren't that much dearer.

What kind of Solutions Architect are you? Specialism is a very big factor to your salary.

How many years of experience? How many successful warehousing projects?

At first blush, it's good money for this kind of position. S$180K for a tech position is moving into the rarefied air.

Yes, SE is bang on (he's got a few more years in it than I have!) $15K pcm is good, attempt to get more thrown in (relocation, flights, hotel etc etc) also try for a 13th month bonus in addition to standard bonuses, otherwise you probably wont get offered them!

Good Luck :)
