Good site for local travel besides Agoda or AirAsiaGo?

Post by zzm9980 » Thu, 13 Sep 2012 8:54 pm

Any suggestions for sites with good travel package (airfare+hotel) deals for the region? I already use AirAsiaGo and Agoda, looking to see if there is anything else out there with a significantly different variety.

Not interested in something like GroupOn where I can buy into a pre-determined trip with tons of restrictions. I like to pop my dates and destinations into a search engine and see options.

airfares.com.sg, cheaptickets.sg and asiatravel.com

For Asiatravel.com - well, when I compared then with the travel agents pricing of hotel/packages, from 5 star, Chan brothers, Pricebreakers and SPAMMER, all of them were within a few dollars here or there ..

Try GetThe.DreamTripsLife.com You may find Serviced Apartments, villas, bungalows on the cheap depending on what is being offered at that time of your search.

we always use hotels.com.. we have used it so much over the last three years we have actually built up points and have received a free night on some of the places we've booked. :)

I like Agoda - I find the system actually very clever
The rates are guaranteed to be the cheapest (I guess same with all others actually) but you get a point system by booking through them and if you write reviews, you get more points which you can use to offset your future bookings/reservations.

Also, if you pay with a DBS credit card and go on the relevant DBS Rewards/Agoda page, you save an additional 7% I believe !
^-^
