But surely if a regular sends a PM to recommend someone, it should be safe to assume the opposite right? Plus I'm not sure if it is safe to put out a third party's contact details out in open, hence the PM.sundaymorningstaple wrote:CGS,
Please be extremely carefully when people solicit services via PM rather than on the open board. We give recommendations openly here, but some have different agendas and try shady stuff via the PM facility. We do not recommend anybody who solicits without being recommended by a satisfied user. Do so at your own discretion.

Thanks, you are totally right. I got a few private message already suggesting their sister, etc...sundaymorningstaple wrote:If it's a legitimate business, e.g., completely above board, yeah, who's gonna refuse a recommendation? If they don't want recommendations, I would have to be suspecting that something is not quite above board, or the person is advertising themselves under cover. Just because the solicitor is a regular doesn't mean anything. Some of our regulars have tried to advertise home meals services to our readers without paying for advertising as well. That was the reason for my post. one of them has a history already. I go back a long, long way on this board.
