Booze Buying In Malaysia
Is this a viable option or are there limits on how much you can import back into Singapore. Same applies to Beer I guess. Just thinking out loud !

Meant to elaborate that it would be by car. Do you mean there is no duty free (allowance) coming from Malaysia to SG or there is no restriction on your duty free limit (allowance) ?offshoreoildude wrote:It won't work if you're flying. There's no duty free limit for coming in from MY. There's no conceivable way to do it with land transport either.
EDIT - Think I just read you cannot bring in duty free to SG from Malaysia. Guess that makes sense. What about shopping in Giant / Carrefour instead etc. Can't seem to find any prices on their MY websites though.

I now understand. You're wondering if beer is cheaper in JB whether you can just fill up your car with cartons? Probably not. Both sides will have an issue maybe. Personally I suspect you'd get away most of the time with a carton - esp if you said it was bought duty paid in JB and you have a receipt.
