Re-applying for PR - Original Docs

Post by yellowbram » Sun, 26 Aug 2012 12:28 pm

I applied for PR last November and submitted original docs and copies as part of the application. I was rejected, which was received in January.

My question is when i re-apply, do I need to resubmit all my original documents again? Or they are still on file from my original application.

What did the rejection letter say regarding resubmission?

It's always better to resubmit them, but unless you have something substantially different/new to add to the application, don't bother to reapply. If they told you to reapply in a year or two years, then your only reason was probably duration of stay in Singapore. Otherwise, they odds of getting it will be substantially lower. It's interesting that you received a letter asking to to reapply without giving a minimum time wait. Are you sure that was all that was on the letter?

Applying for PR status!

Post by Zinnnn » Sat, 22 Sep 2012 10:39 am

Have a Friend who wishes to apply for PR.
Hope some kind soul can advise her chances of it getting approved

1. Myanmar Citizen now on S-pass
2. Bachelor's Degree in Myanmar
3. Studied for 2 years in Singapore, received my LCCI
4. Have been working for 2 years in Singapore as an Accounts Executive
5. Salary drawing $2,300
6. currently taking ACCA, results out only in next Mar

Should she apply for it now? Her company will only write her a recommendation letter once she has completed her ACCA, and she has a probable chance of being promoted to Accounts manager next year.

YOUR chances are slim. If you are going to apply you should wait until you have completed your ACCA and better, wait until being promoted as accounts manager. Tell your friend to get lost.
