Home entertainment purchase

Post by Steve1960 » Fri, 17 Aug 2012 3:53 pm

Anyone know a good place to go for reasonably priced home entertainment goods?

I am looking for a sound bar for my TV, but only a cheap one, around 300 SGD max.

I bought a really cheap one for 90 SGD from the supermarket in IMM a couple of months ago and predictably it has malfunctioned.

Its a must buy tomorrow as the new EPL season is here \:D/

Try Courts or Harvey Norman.

If you want to shop around try Funan Digital Mall.

If you know exactly what you want and are brave, Sim Lim Sq.

Ebay Singapore! No, I am not kidding. There is a group of people who seem to make at least a part of their living by buying the goods on post-sale of some kind from the places like Best Denki, Courts etc and later selling them 20-30% cheaper on Ebay.

For example:

I bought from this guy before, very reliable what you can also tell by his score.

Thanks to all for your help I purchased exactly what I wanted in Mustafa.

Of course you could have warned me how confusing the place is and I would have taken some food and a sleeping bag in case it took me a while to find an exit

Like your sense of humour.

Anyway do keep us updated on how you find your purchase working. I'm curious to see how good are the goods from Mustafa's.

Its a Samsung product, not the latest version which is I guess why they have it cheaper in Mustafa.

Working very nicely now but as you have intimated lets see how long it lasts!
