Thinking of applying for a PR - what are the chances?

Post by samurai jack » Mon, 13 Aug 2012 2:58 pm

Hi

Thinking of finally applying for a PR. Just want some basic advice on whether my credentials/standing would suffice.

Nationality - Indian
Stay in Singapore - continuously for last 12 years
Current pass - P1
Working as a director with a company here.
Gross salary - 450K+
Wife - Indian
Working with a multinational as a Asst. Director
Gross sal. - 100k+
Both graduates and have a 10 yr old daughter.

Any comments/advice is most welcome and appreciated.

Thanks

Well if you want it you should apply, there is nothing else you can do to improve your chances and you have nothing to lose.
You cannot change your race, you have already crossed the "assumed" minimum reqd residential period and you already earn a lot more than most.

The only reason you "could" get rejected is if the fact that you didnt apply all this while weighs higher than your credentials.

Not saying that its true but it might appear to the evaluating officers or anybody for that matter that you are doing this to save the ABSS on your next condo purchase

Pls ignore this.

On another note - what is the typical turn-around/processing time for PR applications these days?

Can't say. We've heard reports of several weeks to several months just in the past year.
