Swim wear plus size?

Post by emmagreen » Sat, 11 Aug 2012 3:51 pm

Hi,
I'm new to Singapore and I'm glad I found this forum for all my questions! The first and most urgent one however, is that the swim wear in Singapore is really tiny. I'm looking for a full body wetsuit and my waist inch is 40. Is there a specific shop in Singapore that sells plus size wetsuits?

You may try the suggestions posted in this thread. Someone else also asked about the same stuff.

And yeah I know, it is hard to get plus-sized swimwear but I really don't think you will be able to find wetsuits...

The best way is to order a custom made wetsuit online. you provide the style (e.g., one-piece, farmer john, etc. and the thickness 2/3/4mm and fabric (Neoprene, lycra/no covering) colour combos, number of pockets, other details, they build you get. Otherwise, you could probably go to one of the dive shops here and order through them but I'd imagine the markup would be like the markups on their equipment here. :o

I was a commercial diver here and in the GOM for many, many years (now retired).

Not too sure re wetsuits, but for plus size clothes & general swimwear, I know that the online shop ASOS posts to Singapore for free.
