Thr has hardly been any substantial hike in India in last three years... The avg yearly would be in the range of 4-8 %...

17L in India with 9+ years exp is not that common..its 30-40% more than avg salary but the company from which I got the offer has an excellent Revenue /Employee ratio (as good as google)

I am working as an oracle consultant and 'll be joining this Singapore company in PM role.

Thanks for your suggestion but after a lot of research I am quite sure it would enough...may be not that good compare to what I earn in India but I would prefer to give it a try in Singapore...

I have seen your answers and It looked very relevant to me.
I have one Offer for 6500 SGD , I have total exp of 6 yr . Is it relevant for me to move Singapore?
Initially I will come without my family and 3-4 months they will join me here. I came to know , for single person 1600 to 2000 SGD (700 Rent+ 700 Food+ other exp) is sufficient and for family I can manage in 3000 SGD. Please also through some light on it. In India , I am working with 12.5LPA and tax bracket is 20% . I heared in Singapore tax is only 5% if I stay more than 183 days.

You can see everything here as to how much taxes are. If you're here over 183 days, you pay the "resident" rate:

It is very hard to answer the other question since no one knows what your lifestyle is like in India.

Suppose i ll join in ago in Nov , so that in 2012, i will be stay for only 60 days, what would be tax for these two months by offering that i will also continue in 2013, but in 2012 only 2 month.

The basic question is , are this 183 days mandatory for every financial year?

All the info you need about tax is on the IRAS website; TBH it'll be best (and quickest) if you do some research there first.

If you're working on an employment pass that has at least the appropriate amount of time remaining at the end of the tax year then IRAS will charge you the resident rate.

As zzm noted. Additionally, it is only in the first partial year. the 183 days can be straddled across two consecutive years AS LONG AS THE EP is valid.

Please note that IF you are here less than two months the first year and do not make 183 days before leaving, you WILL be taxed at a flat 15% on all of your income.

It really depends on where you want to place your kids. International School will definitely cost a lot more than neighborhood schools. School fees is around S$150/year excluding textbooks and uniforms. International school can easily cost between S$8,000 to S$12,000 per year.
