Short-term, part-time job for foreign company on DP pass?

Post by dmandy » Thu, 09 Aug 2012 11:37 am

Thanks to the digital age, I have the chance to do a small, month-long job for a foreign company. I hold a dependent pass and have just arrived in Singapore. My husband holds an EP. Since the company is not based in Singapore I assume an LOC is not possible. Can anyone advise me on if I can take this job legally or what I must do to be able to take small on freelance work from time to time? I'm not interested in working regularly or permanently, but having the luxury to take on interesting jobs from time to time would be great. Is it possible?

DP holders cannot do such freelance jobs legally.

What a pity. Not interested in anything under the radar. Just not worth it. But thank you for your reply!
