Public relations contact at American Consulate?

Post by zzm9980 » Wed, 08 Aug 2012 11:43 am

Odd question, but does anyone know of a public relations or similar contact with the American consulate here in Singapore? All I see on their website are specific contacts for Visa, US Citizen services, and other specific programs.

The Public Affairs Section, Singapore, is responsible for the Embassy's media relations, information, cultural and educational exchanges programs. The Counselor for Public Affairs serves as the Embassy spokesperson. I don't think the USA State Dept even understand PR unless it involves guns or kidnappings or illegal detentions ('renditions'). The war on terror is the war on PR as well.

Funny enough, it was for an inquiry close enough along those lines that they probably would have been interested :) I wanted to ask them for a comment as to whether or not they planned to continue their business with Standard Charter in the wake of the reports about StanChar helping Iran launder money.
