Where is the fun Vivocity water playground?

Post by marsbar » Sun, 05 Aug 2012 9:53 am

Hi

I read about how fun it is and seen it on youtube. But when we got to Vivocity we could not find it.

Asked at information desk and they said they only have a play area on level 2 (outside the kids clothing stores). This was a dry playarea with only a bit of water spurting out, nothing much really. Not the fun one I saw on you tube.

Went to level 3 to have a look, a few shallow pools but I thought I saw signs to say "not for playing in". Spacious area but no playground for kids.

Does anyone know about this Vivocity water play area I read on the internet - where is it? Some articles list it as one of best water playgrounds in Singapore.

thank you

You saw it... It's pretty rubbish actually. The playground is currently being renovated and really needs it. I wish they would install a traditional playground instead of those "fashionable" play installations currently there. And yes, the rooftop is useless too. Too hot during the day and the pools are not for playing in.

There is one ont he roof of I12 Katong too.

If you want water play though, consider the Zoo, Birdpark, and the one at Sentosa, they are all very good! (all cost money though)

The Science Centre is cheaper and the water play is not bad, but depending on where you live, it's not hugely easy to get to.

Our kids love the one at I12 Katong, but there is no shade.
