DP Approved for wife and child, what to declare to the immi?

Post by gr1ngo » Sat, 04 Aug 2012 2:17 pm

hello

I already saw from EP Online that our applications for dependent's passes have been approved but I haven't got hold of the IPA from our HR yet.

My wife and daughter are coming over to Singapore soon (hopefully with the IPA on hand) and I would just like to know what they should declare or present to the immigration officer at the airport on arrival?

This seems trivial but I would appreciate your inputs.

Thanks.

They present the IPA and their passports, that's all. They shouldn't come without it, or there could be difficulties depending on what passports they hold.

Hello again

Is my family allowed to exit and enter Singapore as soon as they have collected their pass? If not, how soon can they exit say for a trip to Malaysia?

Thanks again.

That depends on their passports. If your family requires a visa to enter Singapore and it is included with the IPA, then they will have to wait for their I/Cs. (Multiple entry visa is on the back). If they're eligible for visitors pass on entry, then they should be OK. I'd keep a copy of the IPA with them just in case. I left the country twice before I had my EP, but I have a US Passport.

Thanks, zzm!

My family does not need a visa to enter SG but I will nonetheless wait for their dependent passes to be issued.

Thanks again!
