Hello Everyone, just wondering has MBS accepted job application for expat too and have anyone had the experienced to apply for job at Marina Bay Sands before? I have submit in my application 10 days ago and have not heard anything from them. I feel anxious as i might did not meet their requirements. Anyone knows how long it usually takes for them to shortlist notified candidate? Please share. Thank you!

MBS hires everything from cooks, waiters, bar tenders, maids, reception personnel, janitors, and groundskeepers to IT techs, security, casino personnel, accountants, creative staff, stage managers, and senior executives. What is it you have applied for? What kind of an expat are you?

Hi, i have applied into the position under Operation Department as a MICE Coordinator. I am thinking to move to work in Singapore for a year before continuing with my MBA degree in the US. Not sure if MBS will accept me? So hopefully someone can share their experience with me.
Thank you and i am looking to hear from everyone

A "mice" coordinator. LOL I would not use abbreviation if I were you.
sure it does sound like an expert in that field. Not everybody can do that job.

It wasn't MICE that was funny.

For a year? mmm, I would suggest you getting a job in US. What is your current status in US? citizen/gc or F1?
Any relative work experience from US? If you have no experience, I'm afraid that you will hear nothing from the company.
I paid my own tuition, and I found it difficult to get MBA without knowing where I would be in the future. Sure MBA does look good on your resume. However, if you have no skills set which are marketable or what the company needs. Your MBA is just a piece of paper. That is how real world operates.
Good luck.

Are you currently residing in Singapore? If not, then your chances are low, Singapore companies prefer people that are here as they can get them aboard faster (usually within one month).
Nevertheless, two MBA friends of mine were recently hired at MBS, one of them to a completely new field, so there is a chance.
But dont tell them that you are only planning to stay for one year...no sane hiring manager would bother with such a candidate...

I know 5 foreigners who got hired pretty easily by MBS as card dealers and other casino roles. And they are not PRs and they applied for the position while still in home country and only moved into Singapore once they were offered the positions.
And they are all Malaysians. With degrees from Malaysian universities. Not sure if this info helps.

Malaysians are easy to relocate and integrate (just drive down to Singapore, similar culture), however, its a different case when you have to get someone over from another continent (starting a new life, relocating, time to adapt, risk that the person cant cope, etc...)
I've tried to find a job in Singapore while I was still living in Europe a few years back. I got 0 replies...
Just my $0.02...

It's very possible, all depends on your skill-set, and what the employer requires.
For the OP, if MBS is having a hard time filling those spots with locals, PRs, and Malaysians, then it shouldn't be a problem for you. If they're not having a hard time, then your chances are very low.

I got 0 reply as well. The one I got recently was because I knew the hiring manager from my school's job posting.
