The key word is, it's not helping at all. So now you're going on take your revenge and call me a 5th grader? Either you're a typical Singaporean (Kiasu) or you've been living in Singapore for way too long (also Kiasu).

Speaking of solid evidence, I am very much interested in getting one of those Google Glass devices.
Only in forum? Dude, anyone can be anything in internet. Even a dog can type anything in internet. That's not a bloody-hell proof. Witness, videos, anything that anyone can see that you really face a life-or-death situation. Capiche?
Do you really expect a CCTV camera in someone's private kitchen surrounded only by the wife? The room mates all ran to their rooms!

And in that kind of situation, do you think I could pull out my mobile without risking my life being stabbed by the barbaric PRC mad man?

And lastly, no a dog cannot type.

That's amazing!
Now you beginning to sound like a broken record. I have worked with many Gahmen agencies and I am pretty well versed on the penal code and the Singapore Constitution.
Have you not heard "Innocent until proven guilty"
Anyway if you want to hang someone dry, there are many ways legally but feeling intimidated by heated argument which resulted in undesirable result does not do you any good one bit.
Lesson learned and move on
I thought "Innocent until proven guilty" is an American law thingy? I am aware Singapore and American law are two worlds apart. There are no privacy laws in Singapore, but in America you get detained for 24 hours and questioned.

So .. let me attempt to clear this ..

Your PRC Landlord, who posts on a Chinese forum .. ahem .. so you can read and write Chinese .. ahem ..

Oh never mind .. you are on a steam venting mission here I guess .. keep going ..

Then again, if you have left his house, why would you waste money in getting those "Google Glasses" ?? :)
Have you ever heard of Google translate? Probably not, since you are too busy clearing your throat every time.

Plus, it's not his house. He and his wife are just renting the entire private unit. They still have to pay bloody rent every month. They are able to sublet rooms to other tenants.

Do you even know what a Google Glass is?

What you demonstrated so far here is that in a relatively easy discussion you turned to a raging tank and I bet now half of the people reading this topic ask themselves the questions: what have you done to your LL to made him threaten you with a knife and wrote this kind of rubbish to the forum. People normally don't act like this even provoked. You appear to have the qualities of an aggressor and we even don't know what is his story.

and you did expect the cops to arrest the guy allegedly threatening you ?? Heck, as per your comments, the landlord allegedly held a knife .. so does it allegedly means he was threatening you ??

Even if he allegedly stabs you .. I am sure the cops will do their best, but .. give you a bit of breather before stepping in ..

No sir, again, sorry .. I don't know what is Google Translate .. errr .. I coughed but .. no I don't clear my throat every time ..

no sir, guilty as charged .. would you care to explain what this Google Glass thingy is ? Is it a new version Wonder Bar ? Or Wonder Bra ? Do you work in Google ?? :D

Will that fix anybody threatening me with a kitchen knife ? I am keen to know .. very keen to know ..

folks! op was only asking if justice will be served in this (tiny) island but the thread's gone slightly off-topic.

OP, we can't control peeps actions and behaviour but we can watch out for ourselves. Have your evidence ready and just follow the advise and instructions by the police and court and wait for the outcome.

Revenge? Heck. All I want to say that you don't have to spread your "pissed-off" state. That's all. You are out of luck, the people here are trying to explain that you lack of solid proof, and you slam them back with "your comment is an ass." Wow.

And no. I'm not a Singaporean.

CCTV in kitchen? Pull out the mobile? If it can save your life, I don't see any reason why not.

Still don't get it, do you?

I think I just grab the popcorn and stay back. It's no use explaining things to someone who does not appreciate other people thoughts.

Normal people who are provoked in such a way are normally very angry and upset. You obviously don't seem normal.

What have I done to my LL? This goes to show you never read my OP and could care less about my situation. If that's the case, why you are even replying?

Do you full expect me to appreciate your thoughts when there's none at all? And calling me a 5th grader on top of that? Next time pull out your mobile and get stabbed in your stomach. It'll be the last time seeing you here. Now I can safely say you're about as an ass as the law and as low as the PRC landlord.

Well, I think justice would be more properly served if you stop replying to this thread. Your opinions are useless and worthless to me.

Yeah i do expect the cops to detain him for 24 hours for questioning. What else do you expect?

If you don't know even that, then I will not waste my time with your replies, caveman.

And he got the answer, same from a few people, but he did not like it so he started to insult everybody not agreeing with him. The story of this board and zillion other. You are long enough around to know it.

"Attempting to harm" and
holding a kitchen knife two inches from your stomach is a bit different don't you think? If the knife was that close and you didn't get cut doesn't sound like he was attempting anything other than intimidation to me.
