Post by flwong » Sun, 29 Jul 2012 5:41 pm

I am given an offer to work in Singapore. In the view that Singapore govt tightens the PR admission, would you please advise if my chance getting PR is great? how long shd I submit application, upon working in SG?

1. Expected working in Singapore since Nov 2012 in R&D institute
2 Nationality : Chinese
3. Income : 60K per annum.
4. Phd holder in electronics

Waiting for comments and views.

Thanks

Worry about getting an EP first. Then, after two full years of employment (and tax submissions) apply for PR. You might be lucky. However, with the current backlash against PRCs by the local citizens, this might get curtailed sharply in coming months/years. At the moment, it is very difficult to get PR if you are either an Indian or a PRC. With your education and field, though, I'd say getting an EP shouldn't be a problem.
