Where to buy high-end, custom notebook in SIN?

Post by Mike » Fri, 02 Apr 2004 11:10 am

I'm looking to buy a very high-end, desktop replacement, notebook. Don't want to ship from US.
Where can I buy a reliable system in SIN? Price is NOT my main concern.
Thanx

Below are two places which are very popular to scout for your pc in Singapore. Enjoy!

Just fyi,
I searched around, didn't find much I liked. Ordering from alienware, voodoopc or hypersonic, you can get better systems, better prices but you have to wait a month or more and probably have to pay customs. I went with Dell. Got a suped up Inspiron 9100 for about $4,500. even got them to deliver the cusomized unit in about 5 working days. we'll see how it works.

High End Laptops in Singapore

I've been looking and asking around ALOT for the exact same thing as you. I wanted an Alienware, Sager etc., but the shipping and duty amounted to $550+ :(

I'm stuck in Thailand for a while and was thinking of flying to singapore to pickup a highend system.

Dell has an great machine in the U.S. The DELL XPS. It's a high-end desktop replacement with everything you could wish for, even a 256mb ati card coming shortly. However... not in SINGAPORE ofcourse :(

You would think Singapore business people would have SOME need for a fast bus and a great 3D card - the best seemingly is 400mhz bus and 64mb semifast 3D card. I wanted 800mhz and 128mb+ card :(

Oh well... let me know if anything new turns up Mike.

How do I get an alienware laptop when I go to US for a holiday? They do not have any retail outlets...
