What is 'pei'?

Hi! Erm, I've been seeing this a lot and been wondering this, what is "pei"?
As in, "I come pei you" or "got people pei me". @_@

It is Mandarin for 'accompany'. Beautiful assimilation isn't it?

Edit: Cantonese would be 'pui'.
