PEP annual salary declaration

Post by budi_suparta » Tue, 17 Jul 2012 10:53 am

Dear all,

i have received letter from MOM to declare my annual salary for 2011, yea i totally forget about it, the letter state that i need to include notice of assessment from IRAS and due is 25 july 2012.

now the problem is i only have NOA until aug 2011, because i changed company starting sep 2011 and IRAS haven't complete the assessment for 2011. i have called both IRAS and MOM about this.

IRAS said that they will call me tomorrow as the Person in charge is still busy (i don't think they can complete my assessment tomorrow) and MOM still require that NOA and they asked me if i want to have extension but i can't say i want it since it depend on IRAS, so i asked MOM if i can submit with NOC until aug 2011 and form B1, but the lady said she will pass this to her colleague. anyone know the solution for this problem?

Hi sms, other than [-o< is there anything i can do ?
if we declare annual salary on Jan that means we don't have noa at all because we haven't fill in form B1 and it could be only submit the form without noa, the letter from mom is using template, i know this because my friend also get this letter, but i don't know if noa is needed since it is a tax assessment, even form B1 can have info about annual salary.

If you have an IRAS PIN or Sing Pass, you can log on to IRAS portal and you will see a statement showing your income and estimated tax before the actual assessment, print that out and include a letter stating that you will send the actual NOA immediately when it is available

We recently moved house and I went back to the old property yesterday (it is still vacant until August) to check if any mail had arrived for us since leaving. Amongst the usual rubbish I found the same letter from MOM that the OP received.

This was rather surprising to me as I mailed them in January with my annual salary declaration, and received a receipt email from them the next day! Not to mention the fact that the letter was dated 25th June and I completed PR formalities on 18th June

Sounds like there's been a bit of a cock-up in the hallowed offices of MOM, I wonder how many more people have received this. From my point of view they can take running jump, I don't have a PEP anymore anyway and don't appreciate the semi-threatening tone of their correspondence.

Didn't you go to the nearest police station to have your home address changed? They have a system they call OSCARS (forgot what it stood for) which automatically updates your home address in all the government agencies (including MOM).

An oh, by the way, you still have the key to the mailbox in your old place?

No, as I have my new address on my IC already (did the PR formalities at roughly the same time as moving house so they put the new address on it rather than me having to mess around changing it a few days later). ICA are supposed to inform MOM so the PEP is automatically cancelled and they don't send me threatening letters, looks like that particular link didn't work too well either.
