Hi, Me and my parent have 4 full days in SIN in October and have booked our Accommodation at the Intercontinental Hotel. After that we will have a trip in Melaka
We Was wondering about how to travel Melaka ? Bus? Flight?
Any info on possible options& costs would be most welcome. Is Malacca a worthwhile destination?
PS Any feedback also appreciated. Hear it's located well.
Thanks

trip in malaysia
I've been KL a few times now since I have been here and I have always flown, depending on how far in advance i booked I've got flights for as low as 120sgd but have also payed upto 220sgd.
Found tiger airways always to be the cheapest, the flight is really sort, about 45mins, but if you count the door to door time it's about 3.5 hours (or maybe a bit more).
Someone told me coach takes about 4 hours, so if there is a few of you can possibly save quite a bit of money going by coach.

Re: trip in malaysia
1. Coach is the best option (4 hours). If you were to fly, your nearest airport would be KLIA in KL (1-hour flight excluding check-in time, immigration, luggage belt etc) and you still need to travel on coach to Malacca for 2 hours.richard333 wrote:Hi, Me and my parent have 4 full days in SIN in October and have booked our Accommodation at the Intercontinental Hotel. 2. There are many coach company doing it. One of our forum regulars tried one and it was discussed in this thread. You can also look for buses in Golden Mile where all Malaysia-bound buses depart from and you can browse for schedules and coach types. Not far from Intercontinental Hotel

3. Malacca is a UNESCO historical site of former Dutch and Portuguese settlement. Plenty of local food to sample.
