Would like to order boxes of cigars into Singapore since they're so expensive here. I understand that it's a simple thing to order, get it stopped at customs, pay the duties and take your box home. However, there's that other thing that requires a permit to import more than 400 grams of tobacco. A box of 25 cigars could reach this limit. I was told by customs that an individual cannot apply for this permit but will need to go through a forwarding agency. Which brings me to my question, anyone have experience jumping through these hoops? Looking for advice from anyone with experience in any of these matters (reputable online dealer for cubans, good/cheap forwarding agents...). Thanks in advance.
