Age limit?

Post by Kelbels » Thu, 12 Jul 2012 9:31 pm

Hi everyone

Please can anyone tell me if there is an age limit for visas? For example, could a 59 year old get a working visa?

Many thanks :D

No age requirement for Employment Pass but yes for Work Permit.

Not sure what employment pass your employer plans for you, but only the domestic worker (work permit) has age restrictions at this point. Check out MOM website for details on which employment pass and their eligibility.

I would think 59 is still fairly young especially since there are plans to up the age of the Retirement Act (from 62 to 65 then to 67).

The real problem is getting a job offer in a country who tend to retire people at 45.

What about for S pass renewal? Is there an age limit? Been working for the same company for 3 years and my pass is expiring this Oct 2012. I am now 48 years old.

Thank you! My husband is heading over tomorrow for a few days so will meet with his new employers and ask about his visa and what visa may be available for my Dad!

Many thanks again
