Headache Over Singapore Permanent Residence

Post by godfather_corleone » Thu, 12 Jul 2012 12:41 pm

Hello Experts,

I am new to this forum.

Wondering if anyone has a similar experience on Singapore PR.

My wife is a Singapore PR. We are married for three years and have been living and working in Singapore as IT professionals since 2007. we are both Degree graduates.

I applied SPR in September 2011. Last week only(2012), an ICA offer call my wife to do a background check on me and my PR case. The officer told my wife that he is calling her in regards of spouse PR Sponsorship. However, I have applied my PR through my company with PTS scheme not through my wife. But, entered all her required particulars as asked. He also told my wife if felt the need, the officer would call me too but i haven't received any call yet.

I am aware that the rules for SG PR are very strict now compared to last two or three years ago.

Is my application processing taking way too long? Any bright chances to get Singapore PR based on my case? or anyone have a similar experience to share positive/negative?

Thanks for your time and good luck!

The officer might have told that they are enquiring about the PR Application of her spouse. Not about the spouse PR Sponsorship

Actually i checked with my wife, the officer mentioned that he is calling in regards of spouse sponsorship.

All this a natural process? adding the almost an year processing time.

The Application will be considered on a case to case basis. There is no fixed processing time as there might be many applications to be considered.

So, you just need to wait

You don't mention one of the most critical issues: your race.

p.s. From what I have seen here waiting a year is not that uncommon, so I wouldn't let that point alone concern you.
