Local Female looking to make new friends from all over

Post by BlessedUnicorn » Tue, 10 Jul 2012 9:02 pm

Hi all,
I have been blessed with friends who introduced me to their cities when I am in London, Greece and Japan.

So I would like to pay it forward by making more friends ( expats and locals) to introduce Singapore and hang out together.
F/35/ language:Fluent in English and Chinese, Conversant in Japanese.

Hopefully we can meet up and groups of 2 or more. Only sincere people with no ulterior motives, haha!

Some activities that we can do together:

1) Chill out at wine bars, try out nice restaurants in Singapore.
2) Local Foodie night out ( i will introduce the highlights of local Singapore dining. eg Bedok hawker centre, Chinatown, local foods, hidden gem of a crab restaurant at Ang Mo Kio)
3) Movie nights ( dark knight, anyone?)
4) Group outing to Sep F1 ( been to the last two in Singapore, the lives by Adam Lambert and Linkin Park were great). Avid racing fan.
5) travel partners in Oct and Nov 2012. (Countries in consideration: Italy, Morroco, Seoul.)
6) Picnic at Botanic Gardens, admiring the beautiful orchids.

Hope this inspires you! Regards.

I'm interested in finding the hidden food gems in Singapore! And also, why not add a picnic to the Gardens By The Bay?

But yeah...I'm only 24 this year, so... don't have a lot of savings yet for that trip to Italy or Korea:p

Hi guys, glad to hear from you. I have got another M replying me by PM.
So that makes 3 guys and 1 gal. Any one want to suggest a first foodie outing?
Not too expensive one at below $45 per pax ?

How about crabs at ang mo kio? Have you heard of the restaurant called Melben?
Open to other suggestion too. After all singapore is a food paradise.

Well to me, 45 bux is a wee bit expensive for just food. We still haven't counted the beer and vodka we're going to drink...lol

I don't know whether we can do it at the Gardens By The Bay though...never done, seen, or heard anybody done that. (It's still new, d'oh...)

But the meadow there is a big place, so it should be fine. Or we can do it at the top of Marina Barrage. That one has a nice view of the city. Or easier one would be East Coast Park...

I have a group going on under my sig. You can check that one out if you're too lazy to come out with something...don't be afraid of the 20's title for the FB group...age is just the year you're born. It's the way you think. ;)
