Looking for other Brits to help vote for Brits friend

Postby deGrenoble » Mon, 09 Jul 2012 10:18 pm

Hi Moderator, I don't know if this include advertisement, but we just want to help our friends to get more vote here. Be kind please.. =)

--------------
Hi all my British friends (and all the expats), one of our friend, Phil is trying his luck in the singing competition here in Singapore (he is the only Expat/Caucasian among the other 13 contestants). Appreciate if you can spread the news and help to vote for him! Thanks a million! (Oh and do let me know if you want to be part of Phil team success hehehe)

What if a TV show had

1. Mandopop, Big Brother and American Idol all combined into one show?

AND

2. A British guy who speaks and sings Mandarin, and is the only non chinese competing with 13 other chinese finalists?

You can see it in Singapore's first ever Singing Contest Reality Show – Sunsilk Academy Fantasia.

Please support my good friend Phil Carmalt, who can only be described as an " Asian trapped in a white man's body"
He has an amazing voice, plays the guitar very well and writes his own music, a rare combination of talents!

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

- SMS Vote: "AFSG11(space)YourName(space)YourNRIC" to 146073300

- Go to the official site www.sunsilkacademyfantasia.com
and then click on the 'Like' button under 'Phil' and 'Vote AFSG11'
[website doesn't work on iPhone, need to use iPad or normal computer...]

- Follow his twitter for current and future updates on his thoughts and the competition!
https://twitter.com/#!/Phil_AFSG

The live telecast of the program will begin from 8th July onwards.
You can watch Phil on
~~~ Starhub TV (Channel 110)
~~~ Simulcast of the Academy Fantasia Channel online on www.starhubtv.com
~~~Starhub TV mobile
~~~ E City (Starhub TV Channel 111/825) will screen daily recaps, highlighting the best & funniest moments.

I think it is extremely rare to find an East and West combination in an individual (and of course because he is the only expat in that show!) and I would like to see Phil's potential realized to an even greater level!

Please do help to spread this around, especially among expat's group Thanks for your time!

FYI only on Sunsilk Academy Fantasia competition details:

"The 14 finalists will be housed in a specially built academy monitored by close circuit cameras. They will undergo intensive training in singing, dancing and acting lessons by well-known personalities. The 10-week competition will also see contestants competing at weekly concerts every Saturday hosted by Singapore born and educated host Joe Tsoi held at Dragonfly Bar in St. James Power Station. Contestants with the lowest votes each week will be eliminated with 30% of the votes from a panel of judges and 70% through SMS voting.

The eventual winner of the Sunsilk Academy Fantasia will get a two-year singing contract and a recording album with local record label Ocean Butterflies Music. Ocean Butterflies Music will groom the winner"

I'm gonna go out on a limb and let it stay. I doubt if there are enough of us here to change the tides but who knows....

I'm not any supporter of the contestants but I happened to tune in to the show the other day and I realized Phil didn't watch what he say as he didn't the words said can actually hurt someone..and Fiona is the singer so she have the choice to change her song or not..Phil and kennth merely just gave their own advice so why must he blame Kenneth? Why he have to tell the media?

I think it's just simply a misunderstanding. Remember that he still struggling and keep working on his Chinese. I believe he didn't mean anything rude in any ways.. and yes, looks like he clear up all the things with Kenneth already.
