Keep getting logged out

Post by kindred » Sun, 08 Jul 2012 9:54 pm

Hi,

I keep getting logged out even though I tick the box to automatically log me in each time I visit.

Using latest Chrome on a Mac. Anyone have any idea what might cause it?

Thanks!

Hi kindred. Not sure if it helps but few people discussed about this here and how to adjust the settings.

Unfortunately I don't think it's the same issue. I stay logged in for a while, usually a few hours, but then come back to find I'm not logged in anymore.

So if I'm gone for say 12 hours, when I come back to "view new posts since last visit" I'm not logged in, and once logged in it treats all posts as old so it's really hard to know what topics have been updated since my last visit.

I'm at home and don't have any filtering/proxies etc, and it doesn't happen with any other forum I use, just this one :(

Happens with me off & on. More so since I switched from FF to Chrome a couple of weeks ago. Never could figure out why though.

It's happened to me too. Though only lasted a day or two. (I use Opera). No idea why.

Annoying to lose track of things. Using 'Follow' e-mail advices is some mitigation...

Search for all singapore expats cookies and delete them. You will have to log in clean again. Might fix the problem... confused cookies.

Clearing cookies didn't help :( I logged in this morning, left for work, came back, refreshed the page and it asked me to login again.

How about trying a different browser? You can use several at the same time...

i.e. I use Opera for general browsing, but Firefox for my financial stuff.

Since swapping to Firefox I've had no trouble at all! I've not been logged out once.

Wonder what was causing issues with Chrome?

Were you syncing Chrome to any other devices with a conflicting privacy/history setting?

This. Happens to me. But I don't know how to solve this so I leave it as it is and try not to access too often from too many devices.
